Temporary Email Addresses for Victims

I don't think that I'd like to put my normal eddress up if I were a victim.... my friends know it anyway. However, some people don't have existing accounts, and some legitimate "we need to contact this person" people don't know the eddress (e.g. a police station with a rescued valuable in safe-keeping.)

So.. how about it, Yahoo, Google, other?

Set up a cooperation with whoever is publishing the "What we know about these people" website. For each person in the database, provide a link, via a mechanism which authenticates that a human is reading the data (the usual "thing" we've all used when signing up: human interpretation of a graphic containing obscured characters), to a temporary email address. That eddress would be something like FooBa123.katrina@yahoo.com. The person filing their details with the database would be told the eddress and the password to the mailbox when they registered with the database.

Think all of this is "too complicated"? Of course, we could all set up temporary eddresses in the midst of a crisis, but....

a) How would we let people know what it is,

b) Do we need the overhead, when alternatives are possible?
